Booking and Payment Terms and Conditions as of 5th January 2009
Booking Policy
A booking may be made by telephone or in person but must be confirmed in writing either by email, fax or letter. Failure to confirm the booking in writing could result in the place being reallocated.
Payment Policy
Payment should be made in advance in order to secure the place at the event or activity. If payment is not received 7 days before the event the Chamber reserves the right to re-allocate the place. Note however that any booking confirmed in writing will not be re-allocated without prior notice being given to the member. Last minute bookings can be accommodated if space is available. Payment for late bookings can be taken over the phone or on the day of the event. A wide range of payment options are available for all activities. Cash, Cheque, Credit/Debit Card, or BACs.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations may be communicated by telephone or in person but must be confirmed in writing. Failure to cancel in writing could result in 100% of the charge being incurred.
- Cancellations less than 3 days before the event/activity will be charged at the full rate.
- Cancellations less than 7 but more than 3 days before the event/activity will incur a 50% charge.
- Cancellations up to 7 days prior to the event/activity will incur no charge.
Substitutions
In most cases substitutions will be accepted at any time. However, given that many of our events have high profile speakers please give as much notice as possible if you need to send a substitute. In cases where substitutes are not accepted, this will be clearly indicated.
Free to Members
In many cases, we are able to offer members places at events free of charge. This does not mean that the event has no cost, rather that we defer the cost to you as a benefit of your membership. The booking policy is as above for these events. However non-attendance without cancellation will incur an administration fee of £10 +VAT.
