The Londonderry Chamber of Commerce is widely recognised by all as the leading voice of commerce and industry in the North West. Currently led by President, Mr Ian Crowe, and a dynamic Chief Executive, Janice Tracey. The Chamber works continually on behalf of its members, to promote the creation of a world-class physical, economic and social infrastructure appropriate to the City's role as the regional capital of the northwest.
The main areas of focus for the Chamber are; Physical Infrastructure which includes access to and from the region - Roads, Rail, Port, Air and of course Broadband; Education, Employability and Skills issues which are always high on the agenda for employers; and Regional and Economic Development across all the sectors, and taking into account our proximity to the border with southern Ireland.
Members benefit from a wide variety of activities ranging from access to the members database, high profile networking events, information seminars, business lunches, project participation, social activities, representation at ministerial levels, PR via the Chamber website, and many more.
The Chamber is serviced jointly by a by 3 part time, 4 full time members of staff and a 2 project officers. However, one of the main strengths of this Chamber is the team of Volunteer Officers, who give upwards of 30 hrs per week of their valuable time to work for members.
