Zoela's Stories is a new CD containing a selection stories for children. Each story has a specific focus that allows the child to listen and reflect. The main aim says Helena is to help the child build an internal resource to help them deal with the stress of life and growing up. She commented "Zoela's Stories is a useful tool when working with groups of children or at an individual level. Within a group setting children can discuss and explore their own feelings and behaviours and within their peer group decide to change the things that can cause unhappiness or distress to themselves or others. Each story takes no more than a few minutes to listen to allowing the child to absorb the meaning without becoming bored. I would recommend Zoela's Stories to any parent, teacher or counsellor as an intervention within a therapeutic setting."
Dr Helena Schlindwein PhD is Owner and Managing Director of Community Health and Training Services (CHATS) 2005. The company provides psychotherapy and complementary services to clients, and educational access and opportunity to mature students who are seeking a training opportunity in the field of psychotherapy and coaching. Helena has a wide and varied career background which includes teacher, author, Psychotherapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Yoga teacher, Bach Flower Remedy Practitioner and a Master NLP Practitioner and Coach. With this new business however, Helena is trying to keep children out of psychotherapy - putting the children first and in essence doing CHATS out of future business.
Janice Tracey reminded the audience that Helena had been one of the founders of Women in Enterprise which helps women in and into business in the North West. She said, "It is ironic that the very organization that Helena set up, and through it helped hundreds of women develop their business ideas, is now able to support Helena in her new venture." She continued, "Helena has been an inspiration to aspiring and emerging female entrepreneurs and many of our male colleagues could take a leaf out of her book."
