This event is an introduction to an important new concept rapidly gaining recognition - Mental Toughness. A key ingredient in how we respond to demands and stressors. Developing Mental Toughness can impact in two ways - stress management and peak performance attainment - they're flip sides of the same coin!
Mental Toughness can be measured by MTQ48 - a world leading psychometric tool developed at the University of Hull under the direction of Dr. Peter Clough Ch. Psych.
The presentation will explain MTQ48 in detail and set out its applications in performance management and stress management. In particular how mental toughness can be used to answer the following key questions:
q What causes one person to succumb and another to thrive?
q Can we identify people's strengths and weaknesses in these areas?
q Can we "toughen up" and support individuals to enable them to handle stressful situations better?
The presentation will inform delegates how increasing the mental toughness of their workforce - and themselves - increase morale and create a 'can do' attitude in the workplace as well as save time and money through the reduction of absenteeism and attrition.
