Phil Eckersley, the agent for the Bank of England, hosted a breakfast seminar to provide members with an opportunity to hear more about the Bank's role in Monetary Policy, its work in the regions and in Northern Ireland more specifically. Phil's presentation was interesting, easy to follow and humorous. Many members stayed on after the seminar to discuss some of the issues raised. Phil pointed out that he is keen to have a regular "bank" of business people to visit in the North West, in order to ensure that he is getting an accurate economic picture of the entire region.
