IAG Service hosted a breakfast seminar on 16th June 2005 the briefing was a partnership approach demonstrating that working together to improve the health and safety culture means fewer accidents and brings savings in insurance. Through this seminar we informed businesses how to minimize their risks and ultimately cut costs.
This event was a huge success with over 100 business people from all parts of the North West region. The Verbal Arts Centre was buzzing and the atmosphere was electric with business cards being exchanged at an accelerated pace. The evening was facilitated by Glenn Robertson, a networking guru, who addressed the audience and provided them with guidelines to assist them in the positive promotion of their businesses. Glenn's presentation was stimulating, lively and informative which provided the business representatives with an extremely powerful method of networking between themselves whilst providing a portal to promote their businesses to the wider business community.
This was an unusual twist from the traditional business lunches, which we regularly host for members and guests. In the current climate, when our economic and regeneration priorities are being driven by a Westminster appointed Ministerial team, the Chamber felt it vital that our Members have the opportunity to engage with, and challenge, the senior politicians charged with leading the four main parties in Northern Ireland. We invited each of the party leaders to address our members on what they intend doing to create the necessary confidence for investment.
Chamber Members and many of our strategic partners attended the launch of our exciting new website on 27th January in the Tower Hotel. Our Web presence has long been due an overhaul and thanks to support from Invest NI, we now have an exemplar website.
Phil Eckersley, the agent for the Bank of England, hosted a breakfast seminar to provide members with an opportunity to hear more about the Bank's role in Monetary Policy, its work in the regions and in Northern Ireland more specifically.
