Where can I obtain a Certificate of origin for exporting goods?
The Londonderry Chamber of Commerce is an issuing body for Certificates of Origin, as authorised by the Department of Trade and Industry. Contact Helena Kearney at Tel 02871262379 for further information.

What are the recommended holidays for 2012?

• New Years Day - 2nd January
• St Patrick's Day - 19th March
• Easter Monday - 6th April
• Easter Tuesday - 7th April
• Early May  - 7th May
• Spring Bank Holiday - 4th June
• Queen's Diamond Jubilee - 5th June
• July Bank Holiday - 12th July
• Summer Bank Holiday - 27th August
• Christmas Day - 25th December
• Boxing Day - 26th December

Special bank holidays
There are laws that allow the dates of bank holidays to be changed, or other holidays to be declared, for example to celebrate special occasions.

It has been announced that there will be a special bank holiday in 2012 to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

The 2012 late May bank holiday will be moved to Monday 4 June 2012 and an additional Jubilee bank holiday will be on Tuesday 5 June 2012.

Annual Summer Holiday Period

Due to some confusion and numerous queries in the past few years the chamber recommends that you choose a two week period from the following recommended three week period. This would seem to suit most sectors of the business community and those who wish to maintain the first Monday in August as the traditional North West Holiday.
