Ulster Bank's North West Business Centre situated on the Strand Road, Londonderry was set up in November 2001 and covers Waterside, Waterloo Place, Strand Road, Strabane, Limavady and Dungiven Branches.

NWBC is part of the Ulster Bank's network of dedicated Business Centres, of which there are 10 in total throughout the province, providing a first class One-Stop-Shop-Service for all business clients with borrowing requirements typically in the range of £250K to £2M.

The integration of Citybus, Northern Ireland Railways and Ulsterbus began in January 1995 when the government announced comprehensive changes to the provision of public transport. The principal objective was to promote the transfer from private car to public transport on a sustainable basis and the co-ordination of bus and rail services.

Among the many measures to be introduced was the new policy of co-ordination between the bus companies, Citybus (now Metro) and Ulsterbus, and the railway company, NI Railways. The aim was to improve services for the public by offering co-ordinated timetables, through-ticketing, feeder buses to railway stations and the joint development of transport facilities.

The University of Ulster's Magee campus, Londonderry, is a mixture of historical and new buildings and modern and traditional facilities. It is a short walk along the River Foyle from Derry's city walls. The historic cathedral city is the only completely walled city in the British Isles. The Magee campus has a small and tightly knit student population. Past and present students often mention this as one of the benefits of studying there.

The University of Ulster Science Research Parks (UUSRP Ltd) has been specifically designed to assist in the exchange of university research and commercial skills to create a cluster of high technology, knowledge-based companies that have access to cutting edge facilities and knowledge.
UUSRP Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of the University of Ulster and is the property company that owns and manages the UU Science Buildings and Innovation Centres.
