In 1986 in England and Wales the Insolvency Act was enacted which provided an alternative rescue procedure to bankruptcy known as an IVA or Individual Voluntary Arrangement. Similar legislation was brought in to NI in 1991.The legislation is different in Scotland and the company does not practice in that jurisdiction but can offer assistance to people who need it within this area.
