Progressive Building Society is Northern Ireland's largest locally-owned financial institution and, with assets totalling more than £1 billion, ranks in the "Top Twenty" of UK building societies.
Operating through its 11 branches across the Province, the Progressive offers very competitive mortgage and savings products and these are often highlighted in local "best buy" tables.
In order that it may deliver its services throughout all of Northern Ireland Progressive maintains over 80 agency offices that specialise in offering Progressive savings products. This enables the Society to serve many small rural communities where other financial institutions do not operate.
Progressive is keen to foster strong links with the communities in which their Members live and work. The Society's Community Awards Scheme enables Members to nominate, for a financial award, organisations that are working to improve the quality of life for others. Progressive also operates an employer-supported voluntary hours scheme that encourages staff to become involved in community projects.
The Society's branch in Londonderry is located at 26 The Diamond and the Branch Manager, Noel Murray, has worked hard to respond to the needs of his Derry customers. A keen member of Londonderry Junior Chamber, Noel is a Past President of the Chamber and takes a keen interest in local affairs in the North West. The Derry Branch of Progressive has been open for 9 years and Noel's staff (Pauline, Siobhan, Rebecca and Meggin), provide a very warm welcome to anyone visiting their office in the Diamond.
