Total Engineering was formed in 1991. In January 2003, the company changed to a limited company - Total Engineering & Design Ltd. TEAD is a project engineering design and drafting company specialising in projects for the process industries including chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and man-made fibres. Its customers also include industries, which are dependant on the continuous availability of facilities and processes such as power generation, electronics and aircraft manufacturing, and shipbuilding.

Customer Focus
The requirements of projects vary. Their objectives can be set by customer demands, a need for lower cost manufacturing, increased capacity or the general upgrade of plant. Most provide a return on the investment needed to implement the design solution, though commercial returns may be limited where safety and environmental reasons demand plant changes. Total Engineering & Design Ltd, through close communication with the customer, takes account of the objectives, expenditure constraints, timing and the need to maintain production when designing its solution to a problem.

Design Team
A team structure within Total Engineering & Design Ltd provides multi-discipline groups with all the key expertise needed to develop a project. Equipment and instrument specifications, procurement and construction documentation and a package of drawings are the regular outputs from the team. The exact deliverables and the responsibilities for procurement and construction management are agreed for each individual project.

Location
The Company's main office is in Springtown Industrial Estate in Derry. Personnel operate from the main office and are site based as required.
