Congratulating Store Manager Jackie Scott and Area Manager Neale on the opening of the new Primark Store, Mr Ian Crowe, President of the Chamber of Commerce, said, "On behalf of the business community, you are very welcome to our city centre. This is a big vote of confidence in the North West, and an endorsement of the growth potential in this area of retail. The new jobs for the North West are very welcome, but just as importantly, the expansion of Primark into the City Centre will add value to a vibrant and growing centre. Primark has a very successful and recognisable brand and their choice to expand in Derry recognises what the NW region has to offer."

The Chamber's Chief Executive commended. "This is a fabulous store. It will no doubt be a pleasure to work and shop in.
