Airporter makes it onto responsibility shortlist

Tuesday 17th May 2011

Airporter is delighted to have made it onto Business in the Community's shortlist for its 2011 Regional Recognition Awards for corporate responsibility.

Sponsored by ESBIE Electric Ireland, Airproter has been shortlisted in the Community Education Partner category.

The winner will be announced at the Celebrating the Power of Responsible Business Gala Awards Dinner at Belfast Waterfront Hall on 9 June.

"We are over the moon to have been shortlisted with such corporate big-hitters like BT, Ulsterbank, Fujitsu and Deloitte in our category," says Jennifer McKeever from Airporter, "We has been involved in many educational projects over the years and it's a great boost to the whole team to be recognized in such a prestigious award."

"Yet again we have had a great response to these awards and from a wider range of companies than ever, suggesting that we are indeed deepening the culture of corporate responsibility in Northern Ireland, which is part of our aim," explains Paul Rooney, Chair, Business in the Community, Northern Ireland.

Susan Kinane, Managing Director of Award sponsors, ESBIE Electric Ireland commented: "We want to see business grow and networks strengthen. Looking at other organisations that are going above and beyond getting the job done is inspirational and motivating. We are very keen to support this work and delighted to sponsor these awards."

Five Northern Ireland winners of Business in the Community's UK Big Tick Awards will also be recognised at the gala event in Belfast this June.
