- The latest thinking in Strategy and Leadership
The Ten Most Influential Articles from Harvard Business Review

Need to keep yourself updated on the latest thinking? Need to stay ahead of the competition? No time to do it? Here's your chance to hear what the experts have to say at a business breakfast.
Focussing on Strategy and Leadership, we will deliver a synopsis on each topic in an engagingly short and digestible presentation. This will be followed by focused discussions on the relevance to your business.
We don't waste a second getting you to the core of these great business thinkers who are required reading on all good MBA courses. Having given you the key points and perhaps whetted your appetite to learn some more, each delegate will receive the full article itself.
The Master Class may give you a taste for further serious business education but if not and simply used for information purposes this is ideal for the busy and knowledge hungry executive!

Strategy

"What Is Strategy?" - Michael E. Porter, argues that rivals can easily copy your operational effectiveness, but they can't copy your strategic positioning-what distinguishes you from all the rest. Learn how to develop your own unique strategic positioning.

" Blue Ocean Strategic Thinking" - Kim and Mauborgne. They argue that traditional competition-based strategies (red ocean strategies) while necessary, are not sufficient to sustain high performance. Companies need to go beyond competing. To seize new profit and growth opportunities they also need to create blue oceans of uncontested space. Learn how.

Leadership

"Authentic Leadership" - William W. George . What is authentic leadership? How can you become and remain an authentic leader? In this timely presentation, we outline what it means to be a leader. Leadership is not about style or emulating another leader. It's about responsibility and stewardship. A true leader appeals not only to people's minds, but to their hearts, as leaders demonstrate through their vision and values.

"Managing Oneself" - Peter F. Drucker, encourages us to carve our own paths by asking questions such as, "What are my strengths?" and "Where do I belong?" This classic has timeless relevance.
