This is a free event organised and supported by the University of Ulster Knowledge Club in conjunction with the School of Sociology and Applied Social Studies

The University of Ulster is delighted to host Mr Paul Heck who has offered to meet with University colleagues, alumni, students and those from the public and private sectors, whilst on his first visit to the DuPont North West site.

The topic is of relevance to all working in the statutory, voluntary or business sector in these challenging economic times.
This talk may also be of interest to those working in the various areas of professional development, personnel, counselling, Employee Assistance programmes and student/staff training. We particularly welcome statutory and voluntary groups, University colleagues and students and local business leaders and all other concerned stakeholders.

Paul Heck has more than 30 years of experience building and managing mental health and employee assistance programs (EAPs) in the U.S. and globally for such notable companies as J.C. Penney, American Airlines and, currently, DuPont where he is responsible for an Integrated EAP serving 62,000 employees and their families in over 60 countries.

Paul was co-founder and first chair of the Asia Pacific Employee Assistance Roundtable and is immediate past president of the U.S. Employee Assistance Roundtable. He has served as an advisor to the World Health Organization, National Business Group on Health, American Psychiatric Foundation, and the Partnership for Workplace Mental Health.
