Take the Leap of Faith for Trócaire – Saturday 7th May 2011

International Development Charity Trócaire is delighted to launch an exciting new initiative exclusively in the Derry area in 2011- and we are inviting local businesses to take part! ‘The Leap of Faith' is the first charity abseil Trócaire has undertaken, and is supported by Derry City Council and The Adventure Team - a well reputed local abseil provider.

Why would this be a great thing for you to get involved with?

• Most importantly, you would be making a much needed contribution to the critical work of Trócaire. This year's Lenten Campaign is focussed on Poverty - your fundraising will make a real difference to the lives of people living in very challenging situations.
• We anticipate that the event will be high profile and will attract some great media attention. We would be pleased to mention your support when reporting on the event and are likely to have a range of photo opportunities on the day.
• In the current economic climate, where purse strings are tight and budgets for building staff morale are non-existent, this would be a great chance to bring the staff together and get them out for a unique and exciting activity! Sure, they could even head out for some lunch or a drink, post abseil to celebrate their achievement!
• It is also a great opportunity for you to demonstrate your commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Interest in the Abseil is likely to be hot and places are strictly limited to 100 on the day. These will be booked on a first come first served basis on completion of a booking form and receipt of a £20 deposit. Participants must raise a minimum of £100 to take part, but the sky's the limit and there will be special prizes for those who significantly exceed this target.
