Eures Jobs Breakfast

The Londonderry Chamber ofCommerce, in association with Eures Cross Border Partnership, held a jobsbreakfast Wednesday 16th September at The Playhouse as partof the CultureTECH festival.

The event which was focusedaround the Digital, Technology and Engineering sectors welcomed 300 jobseekers.Ryan Williams of Connected Talent, Paul McElvaney of Learning Pool and MikePinkerton of Metaverse Mod Squad spoke to attendees giving them career adviceand interview tips.

Chamber Chief Executive Sinead McLaughlin said:

“The aim of this event is to givejobseekers in the Digital, Technology and Engineering sectors from the NorthWest Region the opportunity to engage with relevant companies and informationproviders, from both North and South of the border”.

Job seekers were able to directlyfind out about vacancies and graduate schemes, submit their CV to recruitingagencies, and to avail of a CV workshop service offering advice and tips on updatingtheir profile.

“We have over 20 employersrepresented here and between them they have over 425 job vacancies registered. Thisevent is a significant and real opportunity for young people who are wishing toestablish or progress a career within the Digital, Technology and Engineeringsectors”
